About Oxford Polo

Polo, far and wide

Since 2011 our aim has been simple: to share this sport with as many people as possible, and to raise its standards as we go.

Our story

David Ashby founded Oxford Polo in 2011 at Kirtlington Park, the club where he learned to play. It has grown into one of the UK’s most respected polo schools.

From coaching captains of industry, undergraduates and schoolchildren to developing the future stars of English polo, David expanded the business into events, livery, transport, and team and player management, to serve every part of the sport he cares about.

In 2021 he bought Kemsley Farm, and it is now the base for a complete service to the international polo world. Our players and clients come from all over the world and from every walk of life, and a shared love of the game has opened the door to many friendships and business connections.

Oxford Polo is a Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA) Registered Academy, and all our coaches are HPA qualified.
