David Ashby founded Oxford Polo in 2011 to share the sport with as many people as possible. Since then we have taught captains of industry, undergraduates and schoolchildren, and coached some of England’s future stars.

Our home since 2021, a stone’s throw from Kirtlington Park Polo Club, with a private equine track between the two. Three miles from junction 9 of the M40.

Arena season 2026/27
Arena tournaments and junior fixtures run from October to February, alongside club chukkas every week.
This season’s fixtures have finished. The 2027/28 list goes up in the autumn.

Corporate & private events
Team days, client hospitality, weddings, milestone birthdays and away days. No riding experience required.
After the session we host a debrief with food and drinks, and can suggest somewhere nearby for dinner.

David came up through the Pony Club and played professionally in Argentina and English seasons up to 15 goal, then returned to Kirtlington Park, his childhood club, to found Oxford Polo in 2011.

George runs the Arena Club and Polo School day to day, from memberships and chukkas to tournament entries, and coaches throughout the winter season.

Fleur has groomed for professionals from England to Australia. Based mainly in the office, she is often on the sidelines lending a hand.
